개요
줄기는 높이 80~125cm이고, 단단하여 곧게 자라고, 지하경은 옆으로 뻗으며 구형의 덩이줄기를 형성한다. 잎은 선형으로 바로 자라고, 길이는 50~130cm, 너비 10~35mm, 잎 뒷면에 용골이 발달하며 기부는 엽초처럼 줄기를 감싸고 가장자리는 막질이다. 화서 줄기는 바로 서며 길이 17~63cm, 3~5개의 화축이 분지하여 원추형으로 발달한다. 화축은 포에 액생하며 가장 정단 화축은 10~27개의 수화서만달리고, 그 아쾌 수화서와 암화서가혼생하거나 암화서만으로 구성된 화축이 발달한다. 가장 아래쪽 화축은 수화서가없이 하나의 암화서로만구성된다. 암화서는 화축에 대부분1개씩 달리나 간혹 2개가 달리기도한다. 포는 잎 모양이며 화서 줄기의 가장 아래쪽 포는 화서 줄기보다 짧다. 수화서는 개화시 직경 11~18mm이다. 암화서는 수화서와 떨어져서 나고 개화시 암술머리를 포함하여 직경 15~23mm이다. 수꽃은 화피는 3~5개, 주걱모양이고, 길이 약 2.3mm이다. 수술은 대개 3개 혹은 그 이상이고, 꽃밥은 약 1.5mm, 수술대는 약 3.4mm이다. 암꽃은 화피는 3~5개, 주걱모양이며 막질이고, 중앙부가 용골처럼 비후하다. 길이는 2.9~3.3mm이다. 심피는 1개 혹은 2개이다. 자방은 방추형 내지 피침형이다. 암술머리는 불규칙하게 굽어있으며 길이 6~9mm이다. 열매는 대개 마름모꼴로 길이 8~llmm, 직경 6~10mm 정도이다. 육질의 외과피 안에 단단한 내과피가 있으며 표면에세로방향의 능선이 있다. 종자는 난형이다.조선흑삼릉은 1912년 H. Leveille가 E. Taquet이 제주특별자치도에서 채집한 표본(Taquet 2150)을 바탕으로 기재한 분류군으로 그 동안 남한에서는 인식되지 못하였으나 최근 자생지가 한반도 남부 지방에서 여러 곳 발견되면서 재인식된 종이다(Ha et al., 2019).Stems 80-125cm tall, robust, erect, emergent.
